Some terms to understand

to this Site which tells the story of God's amazing Grace, Goodness and Greatness as we weave through the stories of Sex, Sin and the Sanctuary. Here you'd see how God's Mercy and his Grace Moves in Messy Places and how all who come unto him, he does not cast them out.

The site addresses the question of how God, a thrice Holy God, maintains His sanctity and sanity while dealing with weak, fragile men—through their stumbles and fumbles, mumbles and grumbles —whom He created in His own image and likeness. Some clues are found in Psalm 103: "He knows the material he's working with." (KJV)

This site takes a peek behind the veil and examines how God manages, manouvers, manipiulates and masterminds, menacing situations that mankind has deliberately or mistakingly got themselves into, in order to save them and bring them safely home to Glory.

God's Mercy, His Grace, His Justice among his other characteristics like Love, Holiness and Kindness; are soverignly juggled  they are sovereignly juggled in order to bring salvation to mankind. It is a fascinating story of how God from generation to generation dealt with mankind of various backgrounds cultures beliefs practices persuasions in order to bring them to his desired haven, come with me and lets enjot this intriguing journey.

Welcome

Welcome

Examples

How did God manage to make Jacob, a schemer, swindler and supplanter into a sanctified scion or a spiritual standard bearer.

How did David who despite his military prowess was a deliberate sex maniac, who could not keep his hands off women, how did he become a man after God's own heart or even Paul, a professed perpetrator of evil and persecutor of priests, prophets, pastors and patriachs,  how did he become a patron saint?

Come with me and let's wade or way through God's incomparable grace as we confirm that it's not by might nor by power, it is not of him willeth nor of him that runneth  but by God who showeth mercy.

Unfolding the Divine Plan Through Sexual Ethics, Sin and Sanctity

For many, the Bible reads like a contradiction—full of puzzling allowances, shifting judgments, and moral tensions that seem irreconcilable. Critics point to David’s indulgences, Solomon’s extravagances, and Rehoboam’s indiscretions, asking: “How could such men be called chosen?” Others struggle to reconcile the swift punishments of Nadab and Abihu with the leniency shown to others who broke the Law with impunity.

But to hold onto one slice of God’s mountain, like the blind men of Industan clutching at an elephant’s tail or tusk, is to miss the grandeur of the landscape. Scripture is not a static rulebook—it is a living revelation, incrementally unfolding a divine objective: to bring many sons unto glory (Hebrews 2:10).

From Eden’s implicit moral compass to Sinai’s codified Law, from the tangled romances of patriarchs to Paul’s clarion call for sanctification—the Bible charts a dynamic trajectory of sexual ethics, covenantal priorities, and redemptive patience. What seems like nonsense becomes narrative genius when viewed through the lens of progressive revelation. Each divine “adjustment” is not contradiction, but choreography.

At this site, we will explore how sexual behavior and sin, —Pre-Law, Peri-Law, and Post-Law—serves as both mirror and metaphor for human sanctity. We will trace how God’s response to sin shifts—not because He changes, but because we do. Like a skilled tutor, He meets us at our level, while guiding us toward maturity.

So this journey is not simply about rules, but about relationship. Not merely condemnation, but construction. Not isolated verses, but integrated vistas. And when we finally stand atop the theological mountain and look back across its layered slopes, the “nonsense” clears up. The dish is cooked. The glory is revealed.

Part 2 The Desert Law, Lust and Longing

Dispensational Truth

A divinely appointed order or age. the old Mosaic, or Jewish, dispensation; the new gospel, or Christian, dispensation. This site is guided by the belief that there are different dispensations in the Bible, Durung these dispensations the revelation of God and his will for mankind varies from that of other dispensations.

Dispensations

Creation to the Fall       Adam and Eve in the Garden    Gen. 1-3           They had perfect communication with God .    It ends with the fall.

Conscience                         From the Fall to the Flood         Gen. 3 - 8         Humans were guided by moral conscience. It ended with widespread wickedness and the flood

Human Government     Post Flood to Babel   (Gen, 9-11)                         God institutes civil authority which ends with rebellion  and scattering of the nations

Promise                                Abraham to Moses (Gen. 12 - Ex.)                       God's covenant with Abraham,  faith and obedience to promises ends with Egyptian Bondage

Law                                         Moses to Christ                                                              Mosaic Law governs Israel. Ends with the crucifixtion of Christ and the Birth of the Church

Grace                                     Pentecost to the Second Coming                        Church Age. Pentecost to the second coming. Salvation by Grace thru faith,  The Gospel preached

Even is you do not believe in the precise demarcation of the periods identiofied cam you identify periods where God's dealing with mankind and sin is remarkably different from other times?  For example, if we take modern times how God dealt with sexual immorality is clearly different  from how it was dealth with during the time of Moses or the time before Moses.

Covenant Theology

A covenant - Is an agreement made between two persons. This agreement governs the behaviour of each person toward each other and may take precedence over , calling, commands, culture, customs  etc.  In Acts 5:29 the Apostles declare "We ought to obey God rather than men". Here there covenant with God takes precedence over the earthly commands of the Sanhedrin.

Moral Ambiguity

Moral  Ambiguity occurs when a child of God does something which seem immoral and ethically questionable but it seems to have been tolerated or accepted by God. Some examples of Moral Ambiguity is Ruth sleeping at the feet of Boaz, or Esther being part of Ahasuerus' harem. Many times moral ambiguity can be explain by checking whether there is any symbolism used, like what is the meaning of "sleeping at Boaz's feet". Or examining whther God accepted it or tolerated it and worked his will through it. E,G, It was through Leah that Jesus was born yet Leah was the result of trickery by Laban. Men's failure does not derail the plan of God. Like Jacob's and Rebecca's violence against Esau does frustrate God's plan of "not him that runneth not of him that willeth but of God that showeth mercy.

Divine Overlook

Divine overlook is a strategy by which God can sovereignly choose to overlook one's faults and aberrations to allow for continuity and opportunity. There are several scriptures  to support this view.

Eccl  8:11 Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil

Ecclesiastes 11:9

Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.

Acts 17:30

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now

Romans 2:4

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Romans 3:25

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

When he chooses to employ these strategies I haven't figured out as yet. It does not seem as if men like Er and Onan, or Nadab and Abihu had such privilege

Quite definitely God is write when he says he is the God who keeps mercy for thousands. If you are reading this and you have not as yet cashed in on the mercy  of God, even though he waits, Jesus said "If you die in your sin wither I go, you cannot come.

A classical Example

A good demonstration of this is Roman's 3 :25 according to the NIV it says: God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement through the shedding of his blood to be received by faith, he did this to demonstrate his righteousness because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished.

Wow. Could you imagine this? That when Christ died the effect of his death has a retroactive effect on sins he had left unpunished. Judah's sin and David's sin even Tamar's sin was not fully accounted for, Because of God's forbearance he had left them un punished. But yes, there are unfinished business

 Other Examples

Mal. 17 30 And Mal. 3:6. and Jeremiah 4:4-5. where God seem to overlook or ignore the weaknesses and failings of man. Are there others?Do we know of any other similar case.

Let’s delve into a few more instances where God appears to overlook, defer, or suspend immediate response to human actions:

🕊️ Acts 17:30 – “God overlooked the times of ignorance”

This is a classic. Paul tells the Athenians that “in the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.” It’s not apathy—it’s divine patience, a strategic pause in redemptive history until the full revelation of Christ. This echoes your Malachi 3:6 reference: God’s constancy is what keeps judgment at bay.

🌊 Genesis 6:3 – “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever”

Before the flood, God delays judgment for 120 years. Humanity is corrupt, but He gives time—space for repentance. It’s a divine holding pattern, not indifference.

🔥 Exodus 32:14 – “The Lord relented”

After the golden calf incident, Moses intercedes and God “changes His mind.” It’s not that He ignored the sin, but He suspended the consequences. A moment of mercy in the face of rebellion.

🐋 Jonah 3:10 – “God relented concerning the calamity”

Nineveh’s repentance leads God to withhold judgment. Jonah’s frustration reveals the tension: divine justice vs. divine mercy. God’s delay is strategic, not passive.

🧱 Romans 3:25 – “He had passed over the sins previously committed”

Paul describes how God “passed over” sins before Christ’s atonement. It’s not neglect—it’s a theological setup. God’s justice is vindicated at the cross, but until then, He holds back.
